LIQ Sweep Hunter tracks the full liquidity cycle that often drives price movement:
Liquidity Build-Up → Sweep → Control Shift → Expansion
Instead of assuming every breakout leads to continuation, the indicator analyzes how price reacts after liquidity is taken. By identifying where stop orders and opposing liquidity concentrate, it helps determine whether a move is a true expansion or simply a liquidity sweep.
The indicator provides 2 liquidity sweep detection modes:
1. Follow Direction Mode
This mode is designed for scalpers and intraday traders, this mode focuses on internal liquidity sweeps within an existing trend.
It works through the following process:
- Detects stop runs beyond short-term swing highs/lows and trailing stops
- Forms a Liquidity Pool that defines the sweep boundary and invalidation level
- Confirms signals only after price behavior inside the pool suggests the trend is ready to continue
Additional tools such as Liquidity Zones and Money Flow analysis help reveal where participation is increasing and which side controls the market.
2. Counter Direction Mode
This mode is built for swing traders, this mode targets reversals around major structural levels.
The detection process follows 4 key steps:
- Projects significant swing highs/lows as key liquidity levels
- Tracks the initial breakout and records delta activity
- Monitors price returning to the breakout level
- Compares delta on the return versus the breakout to assess whether the move signals continuation or reversal
