Hey my friends,
I’m Cute Flora here…
You know how sometimes you see a breakout forming, but you’re still not sure if it’s real… or just another fake move waiting to stop you out?
I’ve been there (way too often 😅). And that’s actually what led me to start combining 2 of my favorite breakout indicators: Darvas Pro Max and Breakout Hunter
Here’s what I’ve discovered:
- Darvas Pro Max gives me the structure:
It draws these beautiful boxes around price consolidations, so I can clearly see where the price is coiling. It’s like a map of “If price breaks here, watch out!”
I usually run this on my main chart (like 15-min or 30-min). It helps me define breakout zones, stop-loss areas, and targets without guessing.

- Breakout Hunter, on the other hand, gives me the momentum and intent:
It’s built on Wyckoff logic and tracks volume absorption inside those ranges. So when supply or demand is quietly being absorbed… Boom, it fires.
I often drop this one on a faster chart (like 5-min) to catch the “real breakout” as it’s happening.

Why this combo works for me:
✅ Double confirmation = peace of mind
When both indicators light up in the same direction, I feel way more confident. Darvas tells me where, Breakout Hunter tells me when.
✅ Cleaner entries on pullbacks
Breakout Hunter sometimes catches the intent before price even clears the Darvas box. That means I can sneak into trades at better prices—no chasing.
✅ Fewer fakeouts
When Darvas draws a box but Breakout Hunter stays quiet, I know to wait. No signal? No stress.
Example setup I’ve been using:

Settings for both of them:
Darvas Pro Max

Breakout Hunter

At the end of the day, no indicator is perfect. But when you use tools that complement each other—like one showing structure and the other showing intent—you get a much clearer picture.
I hope this little combo tip helps you as much as it’s helped me!
If you’re already using one of them, try layering the other in. Play around in SIM or Replay first. It’s honestly fun to watch how they interact.
Happy trading,
Flora 🌿
